Every so often, a special dog comes along who feels as though they’ve been here before, as if their soul has quietly waited, patiently and purposefully, to cross our path once again. Milly has become that comforting, steady presence for us, a gentle reminder of cherished times long past yet never forgotten. Each day, she gently brings back treasured memories and deep feelings of our beloved Moon (2012–2024), rekindling the warmth and joy we thought might never return to our hearts. It’s as if the empty space left in my heart when Moon passed is now being carefully and lovingly filled once more — not replaced, but beautifully renewed with fresh hope and enduring love. Milly carries so many of the cherished qualities we adored in Moon — her classic, sturdy English Lab build, her stunningly soft and pristine white coat, and that calm, knowing spirit that offers a profound sense of peace simply by her very presence.

There’s something truly timeless and remarkable about Milly. She is gentle, steady, and wise beyond her years — the kind of dog who seems to intuitively understand you even before you speak a single word. If ever there was a reason to believe that a soul might return to bless us once more, Milly feels like Moon’s special and heartfelt way of finding her way back home to the CaveInn.
