Ready for Fall

It has been an eventful Summer for us. You can’t imagine how grateful I am for my healing back. I love to walk for many reasons but now it is the best therapy for my healing back. Since my back surgery I have slowly gotten my stride back - almost! I usually am thinking ahead of myself and right now my feet don’t always keep up. Unfortunately, while walking back in mid-July my right foot did not make the step completely and caused me to fall. Fortunately, I was wearing my back brace but my left arm broke my fall and also broke my left hand.

Of course I am left handed.

After 4 different colored casts I am finally in a splint. You might be asking yourself, “how do you manage puppies and adult Labradors with a broken hand?” I would have to say, very carefully.

Concentrating on the things I can do vs those I am not able to do has been a worthwhile exercise for me. I still interact with our puppies and adults nearly as much, but my photography is not quite as sharp as I’d like.

This next week we are preparing Ellie-Mae’s puppies to begin the transition to their homes. So exciting for puppies and families. I was able to prepare a little video to recap these gorgeous puppies. Ellie-Mae is now retiring so we are keeping Miss Buoy to one day step into Ellie’s paws!

We are ready for the change of seasons at the CaveInn.

Enjoy
