Turn Up the Music, Turn it Up Loud, Take a Few Chances
Yesterday morning, I made an important trip to our local veterinarian's office for the scheduled 9-week vaccinations on four of our adorable, energetic puppies. This particular appointment took place first thing in the morning, which unfortunately conflicted with the crucial daily playtime routine that our ‘kids’ cherish. As a result, they were quite noisy and clearly not in the mood to settle down for the car ride. Typically, I find that talking to the puppies or sometimes even softly singing to them helps to calm them during our travels to the vet's office. However, this time, that tried-and-true approach was not yielding the desired effect that I had hoped for. In a determined effort to soothe their restless spirits, I decided to turn on my Apple Music, and to my delight, a beautiful, soothing song began to play through the speakers. Remarkably, before we even reached the climactic first chorus, all the puppies had settled down and seemed to be quietly listening, completely absorbed by the melody. In that beautiful moment, I knew this had to be the perfect song for the #CosmicNewYear video!
The #CosmicNewYear crew is continuing to dwindle gradually as the days go by, and the atmosphere is filled with mixed emotions. By the end of this week, all of our adorable puppies will be joyfully departing to join their new families, bringing not only excitement but also a touch of sadness to our hearts. This situation creates a bittersweet feeling as this marks Pearle’s final litter. She has consistently proved to be a beautiful and devoted Momma, nurturing her puppies with love and care, and now it is her time to simply relax and enjoy life as a cherished Labrador. We will be diligently looking for a loving new home for Pearle once she has fully healed from her spay surgery, ensuring that she finds a place where she can thrive and be adored. She has more than half of her life left to live without the constant pitter-patter of little paws around her, and we want her to experience all the joys that come with it. Thank you, Pearle, for making so many families happy with your beautiful puppies, and for all the love and joy you have shared during your time with us!
